Savage Steve Holland is an American writer, producer, animator, voice actor and television and film director.


Holland was born on April 29, 1958. He studied animation at the California Institute of the Arts, where one of his student projects Going Nowhere Fast (1980), was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art show TOMORROWLAND: CalArts in Moving Pictures. His first job out of college was animating the "Whammy" on the game show Press Your Luck. He later wrote and directed the cult films Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer, starring John Cusack, and the film How I Got Into College.

He later went on to create and produce Eek! the Cat for Fox Kids, where he was also provided voices for characters. Concurrently, he began directing for different television series, such as The New Adventures of Beans Baxter, Encyclopedia Brown, and writing on shows like The New Adventures of Beans Baxter and Kenan & Kel. He then managed his own studio, Savage Studios Ltd. and directs and writes shows and films for Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, such as Zoey 101, Zeke and Luther, the Fairy OddParent's movies, and Big Time Rush.

After the show ended, he directed on shows like 100 Things to Do Before High School and School of Rock. In 2019, he created and produced the television series Malibu Rescue.
