"Famous" is a song by Big Time Rush. First heard in the pilot episode Big Time Audition, "Famous" continued to have brief features in subsequent episodes, before having its official video released on YouTube on June 25, 2010, and being broadcast on Nickelodeon starting the following day. On June 29, 2010, the song was released as the band's fourth official single.[2] Although "Famous" did not make the final track listing for Big Time Rush's first studio album, BTR, it was included as a bonus track on the record's international re-release. It was also the B-side of the 2010 single "Til I Forget About You".
Background[]
The music and lyrics for "Famous" were written by professional songwriters Andreas Carlsson and Desmond Child. Alex Papaconstantinou and Marcus Englöf joined the two writers for the track's production.
Despite Big Time Rush's version being featured in the show's pilot episode in November 2009, a version by Swedish girl group Play was released on February 15, 2010. Play's version shares the same credits as Big Time Rush's release, with the exception of Papaconstantinou and Alexander Almonte, who only worked on the BTR and Play versions, respectively.[3] According to record producer Bryan Todd, "Famous" was originally written for and recorded by Big Time Rush, with Play's version being created second, though it was released before BTR's.[4]
Music video[]

Trivia[]
- An alternate version of this song was made (presumably recorded on April–May 2010) where each band member gets their own individual part in the song, in addition, the second and fourth verse of the song was cut out from this version. This alternate version was never officially released and was only ever used on the episode "Big Time Concert" and on most live performances of the song.
