"Confetti Falling" is a song by Big Time Rush from their third studio album, 24/seven. It was written by Jeremy Skaller, Khaled Rohaim, Rob Larow, August Rigo, and Big Time Rush, and was produced by Orange Factory Music, with additional vocals produced by Damon Sharpe.

Background

"Confetti Falling" was written and recorded in 2011, during conception of the band's second album, Elevate.[1] According to Kendall Schmidt, the song was a band-favorite, but was left off the album because it did not fit with the other songs on the record. Two years later, when deciding the final track list for the third album, the band had a chance to review old songs, and "Confetti Falling" "really popped", according to Carlos PenaVega, and it was chosen for the record.[1]

The song is featured in two episodes from the fourth season of Big Time Rush, "Big Time Cameo" and "Big Time Pranks II". A short music video was also posted to the band's YouTube channel on June 1, 2013, blending footage of BTR dancing in confetti with clips from "Big Time Pranks II".

"Confetti Falling" was first performed live on the Summer Break Tour, as one of three encore songs. Traditionally, confetti machines blast into the audience when this song is performed.

In the show

In "Big Time Cameo", Carlos kisses a girl named Dara, much to the chagrin of her stepmother. Thanks to both BTR and Katie, Dara's stepmother has had enough of their antics, and tries to block the boys from performing the dance scene of the television show Coco.0. However, they manage to convince her, and perform "Confetti Falling".

In "Big Time Pranks II", the boys are holding their annual Palm Woods prank war, and the teams are divided into teens and adults. When the teens are on the verge of losing, Logan supplies his remaining teammates with confetti guns, which they use to try and make a comeback against the adults. This montage is set to "Confetti Falling".

Lyrics

All this talk about being in love
I could never get into the party
Never really understood what it was
Like, what's the big deal anyway
Oh, but I decided I should give it a try
The very moment that you gave me the invite
I've never seen anything like it before
Once you open the door
See I was like

Oh, yeah, yeah, don't get any better
Oh, yeah, yeah, wish that this was forever
'Cause your heart calling
Feels like confetti falling
And it's a celebration
Feels like a celebration
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
Down, down, down

And everybody's gonna make an appearance
Even the butterflies came, what a feeling
And then Bliss came with Mr. First Kiss
It was better than they ever explained it
I think I even saw Cupid flying 'round
I caught a glimpse before the lights went down
And then when I turned to see the stars in your eyes, I realized
And I was like

Oh, yeah, yeah, don't get any better
Oh, yeah, yeah, wish that this was forever
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
(Oh, yeah, yeah)
And it's a celebration
Feels like a celebration
(Ooh, whoa-ho)
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
Down, down, down

See, I know it's getting late
Only wish the sun would wait
And let this party last a little longer, yeah
See, I know love, it comes it goes
But this right here, I don't think that I ever want to let it go
I wish I would've known

All this talk about being in love
I could never get into the party
But now I understand only because you've shown me the way
And I was like

Oh, yeah, yeah, don't get any better
Oh, yeah, yeah, wish that this was forever
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
And it's a celebration
Feels like a celebration
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
Down, down, down

Feels like confetti's falling down
Feels like it's falling around
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
Down, down, down
Down, down, down
'Cause your heart calling feels like confetti falling
Down, down, down
