"Amazing" is a song by Big Time Rush, from their third studio album, 24/seven. Released on June 11, 2013, the song was written by Dan Book, Alexei Misoul, James Maslow, and Dave Katz, and was produced by Book and Misoul.

Background and composition[]

James Maslow wrote "Amazing" with songwriters Dan Book, Alexei Misoul, and Dave Katz. Maslow had multiple writing sessions with Book and Misoul during production of the group's third album.[1] On May 17, 2012, Maslow tweeted about having finished a session with the pair, as well as Katz.[2]

According to Maslow, Nickelodeon required him to change a lyric in the song, the original line being "got that sex appeal" in place of "this is just unreal".[3] Maslow has performed the song during solo concerts, in which he retains the original lyric.

Amazing

On April 26, 2013, BTR announced that "Amazing" would appear on the tracklist of 24/seven, tweeting a photo of Maslow holding a title card.

Live performances[]

BTR has performed the song live on the Summer Break Tour, Live World Tour, and Forever Tour concert tours.

Lyrics[]

Looks good in a dress
Even better in my sweatshirt
My car is a mess
But she don't mind
She never complains
Even when I'm out all night
I sleep in all day
And that's just fine
'Cause she knows that I'm falling fast (oh, oh)
And I know that I'll never let her go

Chorus:
Singing, oh yeah, I'm loving that
The way she makes me feel
Singing, oh yeah, she's so rad
This is just unreal
And all around the world
I've never seen a girl that makes me crazy, baby
Girl, you're just amazing
Oh, oh, girl, you're just amazing
Oh, oh, girl, you're just amazing

The star of the show
But doesn't beg for attention
She already knows
She's got the part
She lives in the now
Even if it's not forever
So girl, take a bow
You've won my heart
'Cause she knows that I'm falling fast (oh, oh)
And I know that I'll never let her go

[Chorus]

Oh, oh, girl, you're just amazing
Oh, oh, girl, you're just amazing

Now baby, listen to me
You're more than all that I need
When you're by my side
I must be under a spell
And girl, if you couldn't tell
You light up my life, yeah

[Chorus 2x]
